Pomodoro Timer

Stay focused with 25/5 cycles.

Classic 25-minute focus blocks with 5-minute breaks, pause, resume, and reset options.

Stay focused with a browser-based Pomodoro timer. Each cycle includes a 25-minute work session followed by a 5-minute break. The interface shows your current phase and counts how many sessions you have completed today, so you can celebrate progress or plan additional blocks.

Timers keep running even if you switch tabs. Pause and resume controls help you adapt whenever a call or urgent Slack message appears. The layout scales nicely on phones, making it easy to set the device beside your notebook while you write or sketch.

Use it together with the date difference calculator to translate multi-week plans into manageable daily focus slots.

How to use

Press “Start focus” to launch the 25-minute countdown. When the focus block ends, the timer automatically transitions to a 5-minute break and updates the button label. Use “Pause” whenever you need to step away; hit “Resume” to continue.

After each focus-plus-break cycle, the completed counter increases by one. Select “Reset” to clear the timer and begin a fresh day. Helper text reminds you to pair the timer with other Tolinx.dev tools for writing, QA, or reporting.

FAQ

Can I customize durations?

Version one sticks to the classic 25/5 pattern. We are tracking feedback to add custom presets later.

Does it work if I close the tab?

No. The timer resets if the tab closes. Keep it open while the Pomodoro is running.
